Sustainability is top of mind with everything we do, from our products to our packaging - we strive to take better care of our planet and the waters we swim in.
Materials

Fabrics
We are actively working to transition our fabrics to recycled materials. As of 2024, approximately 75% of our products are crafted from recycled materials. Our recycled nylon and polyester yarns are made from pre-consumer waste, preventing the need for extracting new raw materials — all while making you look effortless on the beach.

Innovation
Spandex is a crucial component to our swimsuits for that stretchy, ‘hold-you-in’-feel. Currently, sourcing recycled spandex poses a challenge, but we're actively seeking solutions and can’t wait for new technology that will enable us to integrate sustainable spandex into our products.

Looking to the Future
You might notice that some of our seasonal styles aren't made with recycled materials. Factories currently require high fabric minimums for recycled fabrics. We're pushing for change! With the higher demand for recycled fabrics, we're hoping the industry will start backing smaller runs of recycled fabrics soon.

Packaging

Holistic Approach
Sustainability doesn’t stop at our products, it’s a part of everything we do, from our products to our packaging. All of our packaging materials are crafted from 100% recycled materials.

Hangtags
Our hangtags are made from 100% recycled paper, while our woven Andie labels are produced from recycled fibers.

Polybags
Our polybags from Better Packaging Co. are manufactured from ocean-bound plastic, collected from coastal regions of Southeast Asia. In 2023, our products aided in diverting 1750lbs of plastic waste from waterways.

Manufacturing and Freight

Production
We’ve carefully vetted our manufacturers in China and Sri Lanka to ensure they align with our goals. We communicate daily to ensure that they follow our business and ethics standards. Overproduction is one of the leading contributing to landfill in the apparel industry, we avoid this by producing smaller, as-needed quantities.

Our Partners
Our factories are meticulously audited annually by third-party inspectors to ensure adherence to all local and international laws are. All of our factories have signed our Vendor Code of Conduct, promising workers the right to safe work environments, decent working hours, fair remuneration, paid time off, and zero tolerance on human rights violations.

Carbon Footprint
We aim to reduce our carbon footprint by shipping the majority of our goods by ocean, which has significantly lower carbon emissions than air freight.
