The Andie Story
“I started Andie in 2016 with a simple idea: swimwear shopping sucks, and I knew I could create something better. It began 9 years ago with a crowdfunding campaign, a Shopify page, a logo, and 50 swimsuits. Today Andie has raised over $30M, sold millions of swimsuits worldwide, and landed in major retailers like Nordstrom. We’ve collaborated with icons like Demi Moore and Mindy Kaling. I’ve seen it all—the peaks and valleys. I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned and help other founders build and grow their own companies.”
-Melanie Travis, CEO and Founder of Andie
The Application Process

Why apply?
The Andie Wave Maker Incubator is more than a cash grant. Real, tangible resources and long term support can be just as important as startup capital in the early stages, and that’s why we also provide high-value mentorship, legal assistance, and pitch deck consulting. Our goal is to propel women-led brands forward, in meaningful and sustainable ways. We’re here to help you take not just your first leap, but the many leaps to come.

How to apply
Tell us all about yourself and about your business in your application, whether it’s just an idea or something that’s already underway. We want to hear the what, why, and how behind your dream - bonus points for video submissions, business documents, and financial projections!
Criteria: All applicants must identify as female, be at least 18 years old and US-based. We are currently only accepting applications for consumer-facing product businesses (no SaaS, please). Apply by April 8th, 2025.

What we’re looking for
Your business idea is unique and innovative, and you lead it with vision and dedication. It is a business that has not only the potential for growth but also the ability to make a positive impact on your community and, maybe someday, your world.
