Hey there, you fabulous mamas (and dads)! If you’re reading this, you’re already itching to get out of the cold and into some warm turquoise waters. But let’s face it: taking a vacation in the year 2024 ain’t what it used to be.

Gone are the days of backpacking through Europe, staying in questionable hostels, passing out on the beach after a few too many margaritas, or dancing the night away with strangers on a crowded dance floor. Cue the kids.

All hope is not lost! Vacations with a family in tow may be different, but they can also really be a blast. We promise! All it takes is a little extra planning and shifting your mindset about how to book the best trip possible.

We have come up with a list of the best family-friendly, all-inclusive resort experiences for you and your family. Since we did all the legwork, you can just sit back, read up, and picture yourself on the beach as you click your way to your best family vacay yet!

How Did We Find the Best Family-Friendly Resorts?

When constructing this list, we kept some very important factors in mind. First and foremost, we included resorts that feature kid-friendly activities.

We also were on the lookout for resorts that offer some type of childcare, just in case moms, dads, and grandparents want to go out for a relaxing dinner without the little cherubs. Of course, location was key in coming up with this list.

We wanted some variety, and although most of our choices are located in warm, tropical climates, we absolutely thought outside of the box with some very special spots that you might never have otherwise considered.

We didn’t forget about the adults either. We wanted to make sure that every resort we chose was a beautiful locale that would be enjoyable with kids or without. Let’s face the facts: Kid-centered experiences like Disney World have their place, but sometimes you truly want a vacation everyone will enjoy equally (Sorry, Mickey).

So, without further ado, let’s dive right into some of the most fabulous, fun, family-friendly spots on the planet! Grab your beach gear; here are our top picks for your next unforgettable trip.

1. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

There’s a lot to love about this resort. The Melia Caribe Beach Resort is a tropical oasis that caters to families of all sizes.

Our favorite kid-friendly part of this resort is the Flintstones-themed kids club, but the family rooms are a close second. The “Family Room” offers a king-size bed (or two twins), a set of bunk beds, and a sofa bed.

It’s the perfect setup for families with three or four small children. The two-bedroom suites are perfect if you have older kids who need a little more space.

If you think you’ll get bored here, think again! You’ll find tons to do at Splash Island Water Park, Katmandu Park — the Caribbean's premier theme park, the YHI spa, The Cocotal Golf and Country Club, a casino, multiple pools, and more!

2. Franklyn D. Resort & Spa: Runaway Bay, Jamaica

Check out this relatively lesser-known resort for a personalized family vacation experience. This luxurious all-inclusive resort is located on the northern coast of Jamaica.

Known for its crystal clear waters and gorgeous beaches, Jamaica is a sought-after destination for couples and families. The resort is phenomenal with its luxe suites, serene spas, and multiple restaurants and buffets, but the real draw here is the nanny service, which is included in the price.

The nannies are at your disposal from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every single day if you want, and if you want to pay extra, you can book outside of those hours. Bonus: the women will help with light tidying and cleaning in your room. Sounds like a dream? Yup. We think so, too.

3. Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Hear us out on this one: it really is fun for all ages! Don’t let the name fool you. In fact, you may find yourself enjoying some childhood nostalgia at this kid-themed but very adult-friendly resort. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? You do when you’re here!

There’s a reason why this resort boasts over 10,000 reviews, averaging 4.6 stars on Google. You might not think it, but the Nickelodeon-themed resort does a great job of balancing kids’ interests with adults’.

With character dining, fun-themed rooms and decor, and tons of activities for kids and adults alike, this one is worth checking out!

4. Tyler Place Family Resort: Highgate Springs, Vermont, USA

We are super excited about this one. Ever seen the movie Dirty Dancing? If not, stop what you’re doing and go watch it right now!

Okay, you good? Now, picture yourself waking up in the morning to freshly brewed coffee, slipping on a cozy robe, and enjoying your hot cuppa right out on your own rustic front porch overlooking a pristine, perfect lake.

A truly unique experience, The Tyler Place Family Resort offers the feeling of bygone days. One major difference between this resort and some of the more typical all-inclusives is the focus on the family as a whole.

While there’s nothing wrong with having separate kid and adult fun (don’t worry, that’s provided here, too!), this resort gives ample opportunity for the whole family to enjoy their time together simply.

The setting is certainly beautiful and uniquely suited for those who want a combination of hiking, biking, or boating in the great outdoors and the relaxing luxury of lounging by the pool or getting a spa treatment. It feels like the best summer camp you’ve ever been to.

5. Beaches Turks & Caicos: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

You really can’t beat Turks and Caicos. If you’ve never been, this is your chance! Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, this resort is a family paradise that combines the perfect turquoise waters of the area with a myriad of activities for all ages.

The resort features an elaborate water park, a Sesame Street-themed Kid’s Camp, and an entire area just for teens, including the Xbox Play Lounge. You won’t go hungry here, either.

With 21 specialty restaurants, the resort caters to every palate. Our personal fave is Kimono’s, a teppanyaki and sushi restaurant. Kids will love the theatrics and parents will love the delicious Japanese cuisine and the Asian cocktails.

The rooms come in a variety of sizes and styles for all types of families. If you’re really looking to burn some cash, you can even opt for a suite with dedicated butler service! If that’s what you’re booking, can we come with you?

6. Azul Beach Resort: Riviera Maya, Mexico

This aptly named resort overlooks miles of beautiful blue ocean water and white sand beaches. Azul Beach Resort offers high-quality cuisine and drink options, from casual beachside eats to more formal dining venues. There’s something for everyone here!

The resort also has family suites that include separate sleeping areas for kids and adults; a must after a long day in the sun.

For the kids, the Azulitos Playhouse offers childcare, fun, and activities for kids ages four to 12. Teens can relax in the teen lounge, which provides a space where older kids can have fun and feel a little independence while on the family vacay.

As for the adults, there’s tennis, water sports, a fitness center, sauna and steam room, not to mention the proximity to the beach. Grab your favorite swimsuit and get ready for the most beautiful waters you’ve ever seen!

7. Generations Riviera Maya: Puerto Morelos, Mexico

Another amazing Caribbean resort, this one will make you see why this is such a coveted vacation destination. Many travelers haven’t heard of Puerto Morelos, which adds to the charm. This used to be a small fishing village, and the area retains some of that old-world charm.

One of the main draws of this resort is the room setup: Every single room is an ocean-front suite! Jaw-droppingly gorgeous, the views stretch on forever.

Not to mention, the rooms on the first four floors of the hotel each have their own swim-out pools! This is also one of the most cost-effective options on our list, which is amazing considering the amenities like 24/7 room service, butler service, private jacuzzis, nine different room options, and even an on-site greenhouse where they grow their own produce for their restaurants.

Not only is there plenty for kids to do, but this resort has thought of every detail. They even have child-sized robes and slippers so that kiddos can feel pampered too. Since you’ll be right on the beach, you’d better not forget your sunscreen!

8. The Ranch at Rock Creek: Philipsburg, Montana, USA

Grab your cowboy boots, ladies! If you’re looking for something a little different, look no further. You will be wowed by the natural beauty of Montana, and you will enjoy a completely different type of all-inclusive resort.

If adventure is more your speed than beach lounging, you might want to try this vacation! Perfect for families, they have a variety of private cabin offerings that can sleep anywhere from three to 12 people, depending on which cabin you choose.

Flint’s Forest Rangers Kids Club is ideal for your little adventurers. While they are exploring under adult supervision, you can be hiking, taking a photography workshop, going to the rifle range, fishing, or lounging in the hot tub, taking in the mountain view.

Want to get away in the winter? Enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and more!

9. Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa: Saint Lucia

If you’ve ever been to St. Lucia, you know what all the hype is about! This is a perfect spot for those who want a serene Caribbean experience. Adults will love the vibes, and kids will love the ocean water Splash Park.

One of the big draws of this resort is the room accommodations. There are multiple suite options, but the most luxurious choice is one of the Waters Edge Villas. These are perfect if you are planning a multi-family getaway with aunts, uncles, and cousins. These four-bedroom villas have everything you’ll need for the most perfect trip imaginable!

10. Finest Playa Mujeres: Cancun, Mexico

Typically, true luxury resorts are reserved for the grownups. Many top-tier resorts are even billed as “Adults Only.”

While we understand the appeal for those without kids, it does make the FOMO flare up, doesn’t it? Well, with this resort, you don’t have to choose between luxury and your family.

If you’re prepared to spend a little more for a luxurious experience, this is what you’ve been looking for. The best room the hotel offers is the Family Pool Suite. Not only does it have a separate bedroom for the kids, but it also features a private pool.

With too many amenities to list, the resort itself is perfectly designed for families. It’s a dream!

Conclusion

Honestly, all of these resorts are so fabulous that there’s no way we could list all of the amazing features you’ll find at each one. Check them out for yourself, and let us know which one you will pick for your next dream vacation.

You know you can’t wait to throw on that new bikini! See you on the beach!
